The OECC is an extremely unique and valuable resource for workers in Central and Eastern New York. The clinic is staffed by knowledgeable and dedicated people that focus on occupational and public health. The clinic, one of eight clinics in a statewide clinical network, has a mission focused on identifying, preventing, and treating both occupational disease and environmental exposures for working people and the community. As a local workers’ compensation attorney as well as Advisory Board Chair, I am proud to work with the clinic to help fellow Central and Eastern New Yorkers access benefits they are entitled to when they are injured at work.

Christopher Stringham, Esq.

Their silica safety training was well organized and directly applicable to the world of the trades that our students would soon join. The instructors explained the health risks of silica exposure and how to properly control against it in a way that made sense to everyone in the room, and left what we believe will be a lasting impression that will ensure our future tradespeople take the dangers of silica seriously. We would recommend this training to anyone who works in these environments, to keep our students, friends and loved ones safe and healthy as they build the world around us.
