Nurse Practitioner
Amy has been a nurse practitioner for 26 years. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa in 1993, and began clinical practice in both the public health sector and emergency medicine. Later she would go on to receive her masters degree with post masters training from Northern Illinois University to become a board certified family nurse practitioner in 2000. She began her nurse practitioner career in neurosurgery where she spent her first ten years in clinical practice. In 2010, she made the transition to emergency medicine where she would spend the next eight years with experience in both the community hospital setting and the level one trauma setting. In 2018, her clinical practice shifted to the urgent care and occupational medicine space where she also moved into a leadership role and began building strong cohesive teams to work collaboratively for the benefit of the patients. It is this background that will allow Amy to build a strong team that will service northeastern New York with collaborative effective care to the benefit of our patients.
